It grows on rocky slopes in Salta, Catamarca, Tucumán, La Rioja, and San Juan provinces.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eTephrocactus weberi\u003c\/em\u003e , sold to me as Brown Spine Form, spines are golden at present, it can become a small shrubby cactus, segment stems covered with conspicuous rhomboid, spirally arranged tubercles. It as small aeroles, with age scarlet\/ crimson spines. Grows to about 20cm tall, and branches from the base, and then segments above.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"\u003eEach areole has 3 to 10 needle like spines,and a few glochids.
