A beautiful curious succulent - Sausage segments, Green and flushed purple.
Also known as previous name Kleinia articulata, Senecio articulatus, and the Sausage plant due to its stems.
It can reach a height of 60 cm, but spreads slowly by underground stems. The stem segments are thick and fleshy and can grow up to 10 cm long
They are grey-green with darker green or purple markings just below the petioles. The leaves are green, flushed purple when exposed to intense light, usually divided into leaflets, and can measure up to 3.2 inches (8 cm) long. The plant loses its leaves and goes dormant in summer.
The white flowers usually appear in winter in small corymbs that can reach a diameter 1.3 cm.
Established plant well, rooted in a 5cm pot - note occasionally the odd segment drops off in transit no matter how well packed - keep the segment and pot up !
Keep frost-free winter
I have a plant passport - ALL online sellers should have one - Plant passports ensure that plants and plant products are traced throughout the supply chain and declares compliance with plant health requirements.
