Cumulopuntia sphaerica - Tephrocactus kuehnrichianus - not often available.
Original habitat - Central Chile to Peru, above 10000 feet elevation (3000 m) It is native to South America in Chile and Peru .
(It is a fragile, prostrate to semi-erect plant, moderately branched. It has 25 to 80 or more areoles with a diameter of 3–6 mm. Most of the spines arise from the areoles, numbering from two to 15 and are protruding, straight or curved, sometimes irregular, reddish in colour, up to 4 cm long and sometimes reduced to a few short bristles. The flowers are yellow to orange and reach lengths of up to 4 cm. The fruits are spherical and bear a few spines.)
These are cutting from my stock plant which I bought several years ago, name as provided to me.
